Assessment and Reporting
As per the Department of Education’s guidelines we regularly monitor, evaluate, and report on each student’s achievement. This occurs through a number of means including: providing individual students with feedback on their performance; engaging in ongoing communication with parents about student achievement and progress; making judgements of student achievement in relation to expected standards; administering prescribed system assessments; using student performance information to plan future learning programs.
TERM REPORTING CYCLE
Term 1 - Individual Language Plans (ILP’s) are collaboratively written by the Speech Pathologist, Classroom and Language Support Teachers. The goals in these plans are derived from language testing completed in the early weeks of Term One.
Term 2 - Goals on the ILP are reported on, along with a curriculum report and work sample package. As the ILP is an active document new goals will be added if the current goals are consolidated.
Term 3 - Topsy Turvy Day – Let's Teach Our Parents– a Literacy and Numeracy Week parent open morning.
Term 4 - Goals on the ILP are reported on, along with a curriculum report and work sample package.
